Happy New Year Fellow Lauder Alumni!

2019 is going to be an exciting year for our Lauder Alumni Community!

As the President of the Lauder Institute Alumni Association (LIAA), I feel privileged to work with so many Lauder Alumni who volunteer their time to unite our vibrant alumni community of talented and amazing individuals.

There will be so many exciting opportunities this year for Lauder Alumni to connect and/or reconnect!

First, the “Lauder Alumni Weekend in a French Castle” on April 27th and 28th 2019.

The LIAA has booked a French Castle, just North of Paris, France, where Lauder Alumni will be hosted (all inclusive room,  meals & drinks) for the whole weekend exclusively.

Imagine your stay in a French historic castle surrounded by your Lauder peers.  There could be no better setting to reconnect with your friends or meet new Lauder friends from different years, languages and regions.

But hurry up, rooms are limited and will be assigned on a first come first served basis.

Make sure to register asap!

Second, the now famous LGAW reunion is scheduled for this fall in New York, an event which takes place every three years and which many of you already have attended in the previous years.

For me, LGAW 2016 made a real impact as it is the place where I reconnected with my Lauder roots and decided to get involved with the incredible Lauder Alumni Community.

Planning for the event has started and more information will come, but in the meantime, please make sure to make a note in your agendas!

In between these events, there will be many additional local events organized by Lauder alumni wherever they are.

In 2018, Lauder Alumni in London organized a private tour of the UK Parliament, while Bostonians had a nice summer dinner and Lauder Graduates in Washington and Los Angeles - to name a few - were treated to warm gatherings.

In 2019, YOU could organize a Lauder Alumni event wherever you are.  Pick the place and the time and let the LIAA know about your event via the LIAA “Event in a Box” page.  The LIAA will then be your assistant for the event by marketing the event on the LIAA website, advertising your event to the Local Lauder Community, registering attendees and even coordinating payments if you want us to.  The goal of this decentralized worldwide peer-to-peer systematic mechanism is to provide you with the logistics you need for your event, to make it easier to enjoy networking with your Lauder friends.

As you can see, 2019 will be a busy year for the Lauder community and I hope you will be able to join us!

I look forward to seeing you in France and a new year of many more activities, “event in a box” events inspired and realized by alumni host volunteers.
